By next week at this time, we will be settled in to our new home in Port Margot, Haiti. It seems like the days are passing slowly, but I know that very soon we will be on our way. We are both packed now. Bill took an afternoon and did a great job packing his clothes. If it was just clothes we were bringing, it wouldn't be a problem. We went from way under weight, to over weight very quickly. I'm laying in bed at night thinking of what to take out of my suitcase to lighten the load. We are enjoying having John's family here for a few days before Christmas, so we are putting off the final steps of getting ready until after Christmas.
Even though we seriously planned to lose some weight ourselves before going, we have found ourselves eating out more than normal. We are anticipating not having that option, or possibly very much food to eat in Haiti.
Keep us in your prayers - for good weather for our flight, for wisdom and peace as we travel.
Our desire and prayer request for each day, is that we will show the love of Jesus to each person that we meet and work with each day.
